Meet Our Therapists
Rachael D., BCTMB, LCMT, Owner
I graduated in 2011 from WellSpring School for Allied Health, Lawrence, KS. I am Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and a Professional Member of AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association). I have special training in Integrative, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Sports, Hot Stone, Fertility Massage and, most recently, Cupping. I enjoy working on a wide variety of clientele from those seeking relaxation to those with very specific therapeutic needs. Being a Massage Therapist is truly an honor as I am able to help people take a more natural approach to their overall health and wellness.
I attended St. Paul College, and I have been in practice for 7 years. I have certifications and special training in Clinical Massage and Rehabilitation (AAS degree). I focus on Medical Massage, Sports Massage and Rehabilitation. I also have certifications as a Nutritionist, Wellness Coach and am certified for the use of the SCOUT MFR tools and techniques. I also have the healthcare provider level CPR training. The massage techniques I use most frequently are Deep Tissue and Integrated Swedish Modalities. I am also comfortable working with handicaps and the disabled or other medical situations. I enjoy helping everyone maintain a pain-free lifestyle.
I graduated with honors from Saint Paul College and I am a member of ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals). Every person's reason for seeking out massage therapy is unique, and I enjoy customizing each session to meet individual needs and preferences. I specialize in relaxation/Swedish, prenatal and integrative massage. Some of my favorite sessions include providing a relaxing face and scalp massage, spending extra time to release chronic tension in the neck and upper back, aromatherapy with essential oils, and couples massage. I also enjoy working with special populations of people who are working towards wellness while managing chronic pain/fibromyalgia, physical changes during pregnancy, oncology care, stress, anxiety, PTSD, or depression. Therapeutic massage is wonderful way to manage these conditions.
Many of my clients are professionals who are seeking natural ways to manage stress and/or chronic pain while balancing their career, family, personal life and multiple commitments that pull them in many directions. Having worked in traditional business settings for over 20 years prior to changing careers, I understand the stress that so many people go through in trying to keep it all together while trying to avoid burnout. Now I get to do what I love each day, and I am thrilled to be able to help others find wellness and balance in their lives.
I have always had a passion for helping people since I was young. I discovered my passion for massage early on while on a student ambassador trip to Australia. I graduated from Minnesota School of Business in 2004 for Massage Therapy. I specialize in Swedish/ Relaxation, Prenatal, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, and Integrative massage. I prefer to make each massage custom for each client to best suit what they're looking for. I love massage so I enjoy working with clients of all types. I have worked as a PCA outside of massaging so I am comfortable with disabled clients as well. I enjoy giving you the ultimate relaxing experience with a face/scalp massage ending in a foot massage to focusing just on the neck shoulders and back and getting down to the root of your pain. My ultimate goal is for you to leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and happy. I look forward to work with you.
I attended the St. Croix Center for the Healing Arts for Massage Therapy and have been in practice for 10 years. I have certifications and special training in Integrative, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Trigger Point, Sports, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Acupressure, Hot Stone, and Thai Yoga. Of these I specialize in Thai Yoga, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point and Hot Stone. I like to focus on increasing flexibility, and working with the neck, shoulders and low back. I love to help in the healing process, whether it is a relaxation massage or a specific area of work. I also enjoy working in a peaceful, relaxing environment.
Lisa, Reiki Master
As well as being a Reiki Master, I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota and a Life Coach Certification from the “Life Purpose Institute” in San Diego, California. With more than 14 years of experience in social work, human resources, and life coaching, I have always been active in helping others and empathizing with others as they work through transitions in their life. I am passionate about helping others become more confident and realize the importance of their very existence in this world. I became a Certified Reiki Master in 2007 in The Usui System of Natural Healing. I have additional certifications and training in healing touch, yoga calm, breathing, meditation and emotional release. I feel privileged to work as a Healer and Reiki Master. When working with clients I have an opportunity to individualize the session and customize the healing to fit his/her specific needs; clearing negative energy that holds one back from their highest potential and helping him/her balance mind, body and spirit!
I have been practicing massage therapy since I graduated in 2008. Throughout my years of experience I have learned how to really get in tune with the body and muscles. During my massages, I like to customize the session to better fit the clients problem areas. I enjoy combining Trigger Point therapy, Swedish/Relaxation, and Deep Tissue massage to create an overall balance. I have always had a passion to help others find relief from everyday stress and their specific problem areas. I strive to successfully do that in each and every massage session.
I am a Licensed Certified Massage Therapist and graduate of the massage program at St. Paul College (2008) where I was trained in Swedish, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, and Rehabilitative Massage techniques. In 2013 I traveled to Hawaii and trained at Hale Ho’omana to learn Big Island Lomi Lomi and Lomi ‘ili ‘ili (hot stone) massage. During this time, I developed a passion for the Hawaiian healing arts and heated body treatments. I also perform Himalayan Salt Stone Massage. In 2018 I completed training to learn Cupping at CenterPoint Massage & Shiatsu Therapy School. I recognize the importance of listening to my clients and providing a customized massage experience at each session. I am excited to share the calm and rejuvenation that massage can deliver! I am a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) and regularly engage in continuing education and conferences to inform and improve my practice. I also volunteer my massage skills monthly at a holistic health crisis center in the twin cities. When not massaging, I like to read, golf, travel, and spend time with others. I am also completing a doctoral degree in psychology.
Graduating from Globe University in 2007 with high honors, I have harnessed a variety of techniques including Body Mechanics, Deep Tissue, Medical Massage, Sports Massage and Relaxation Therapy. My educational background also incorporates the anatomy and physiology of the human body with the emphasis on kinesiology and chemistry. I take great care in my clients as a whole, not just the existing issue. Let me help you with your wellness goals.
Rachel J., LCMT
I graduated in 2012 from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. I then went on to get certification from the NCTMB, and I also am a member of the AMTA. On top of being trained in the Deep Tissue, Sports, and Swedish modalities, I also have training in Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and Energy Work (specifically Chakra balancing). I love being an MT and having the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people through this field and helping them feel better. My favorite massages are when I am able to use multiple techniques to help the person feel more balanced and relaxed when they walk out of the session.
My desire is to help people find rejuvenation and renewal amidst the stresses of life from the pains and stiffness that show up in their bodies because of that stress. My bodywork style is nurturing and holistic, specializing in relaxation, therapeutic Swedish, and aromatherapy with light to medium pressure. My skills and intuitive touch help unwind the unique tension in your body while helping your mind and spirit deeply rest. I am a licensed, certified massage therapist and am an insured member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
I specialize in gentle, medium-pressure relaxation massages which help calm the nervous system, release muscle tension, and allow the client to let go of stress in the body and mind. I am also a Certified Yoga Teacher, Yoga of Recovery Specialist, Certified Ayurveda Practitioner, Certified Pancha Karma Technician and professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.
